I am ecstatic to announce that I will be starring as Vanda in Bootless Stageworks' production of David Ives' Venus in Fur next month! Delaware is only 2 hours from the city, guys, so let's get some gas station snacks and get weird. (And if someone could hold my dad's hand, I'd appreciate it...the S&M play is always a hard sell...) Tickets are on sale now! Follow the link below:

Just wrapped production on the 1st season of "The Residuals," a comedic webseries about actors in commercials created/written/directed/edited by my good friends (and favorite couple since the glory days of Reese & Ryan) Gillian Pensavalle and Michael Paul Smith. I play a frustrated comedian...digging deep, y'all. Check out the teaser trailer on the website!
http://www.theresiduals.tv https://www.facebook.com/TheResidualsTV Production has begun on WARNE, a webseries about a youngish lady who finally decides to pursue her dreams & enrolls in a P.I. licensing course through craigslist. Romantic and moral entanglements ensue, all to the tune of some compulsive eating and witty repartee. Created and co-written by Erin Gould, I get to wear many hats on this one as a co-executive producer, writer, and director. I'm learning (translation: cursing) a LOT! It is a BITCH to get a show made--showrunners of the world, I salute you. And would love to work for you. Nice shirt.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/WARNE-a-web-series/337870876358269 My friend Nick Costa was kind enough to ask me to play the female lead in a very funny webseries he wrote with Mary Jane Neumann called "Coffee Shop Show," in which a brother and sister from Colorado relocate to NYC to run the coffee shop they inherited from their grandfather. If by "run" you mean flounder about with no idea what the hell they're doing. Coffee Shop Show will launch sometime next year. Stay tuned for updates!
https://www.facebook.com/coffeeshopshow I'm featured on the new artist resource blog "The Not-So-Starving Artist," in which I was asked to provide some nuggets of wisdom for people who might be thinking about breaking into comedy. I know my way around a nugget, the jury's still out on the wisdom.
http://www.thenotsostarvingartistnyc.com/#!kelly-warne/c1dhw It's a tale as old as time: you do a production of William Wycherley's "The Country Wife" with a guy and then 10 years later he asks you to be a guest on his radio show. Hear me catch up with my former co-star Jesse Shafer and Greg McHale as we chat about my life in comedy:
http://ontherealny.com/radio-on-the-real-kelly-warne/ I spent my 23rd birthday in Chicago on a children's theater tour and haven't had the privilege to revisit until now. I LOVE this town...in the spring :) So excited to host my show in the 2nd Annual Chicago Women's Funny Festival this year! I'm featured on the festival website, check it out:
http://www.chicagowomensfunnyfestival.com/1/post/2013/06/performer-spotlight-kelly-warne.html The Women in Comedy Festival is this weekend in Boston! I'll be telling jokes in Harvard Square tonight at Club Passim, come on by if you're in the area or have a megabus gift card burning a hole in your pocket (is that a thing?).
Back in December I did a podcast interview about my path to becoming an artist and didn't have the labes to listen to it until today. It was on a Saturday morning after my friend's wedding and I was still wearing my party dress when I did it. Like a ninja. Give it a listen while you're spring cleaning.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/jenice-matias/2012/12/08/shakers-and-movers I will be doing a set at Littlefield in Brooklyn tonight, doors are at 7, 7:30 show. $8, no drink minimum. Come out and warm me up before my Boston gig this weekend! www.littlefieldnyc.com
